Colour Sealing
What it is
Colour sealing puts a tinted epoxy or acrylic coating over your existing grout lines. The grout stays where it is; the seal bonds to its surface, evens out the colour, and closes the pores that make grout stain in the first place.
You can match the original colour to make old grout look new, or change it entirely — dark grout lightened, or a dated colour swapped for a modern grey — without touching a single tile.

Why it’s worth doing
It is the fastest way to modernise dated tiling. A bathroom that looks tired because of patchy, stained grout can be transformed in a day for a small fraction of what retiling costs. Because the seal is non-porous, the grout is also easier to keep clean afterwards than it ever was when new.
When it isn’t the right job
Colour sealing needs sound grout to bond to. If joints are cracked, powdery, or sitting below the tile surface, sealing over them traps the problem rather than fixing it — that is a regrouting job first. We will tell you which one you are looking at before quoting.
- Hides staining and uneven colour
- Wide range of colours, including whites and greys
- Seals porous grout against future staining
- A fraction of the cost of retiling
